Hello All! I've had many requests to do a video on how I modify my Decorative Label punches to make them different sizes like the one in this card. You can see that below, but I'll go ahead and give you the details on this Sew Suite card first. I started with a Basic Black base. I then took another piece of Basic Black that I ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder so that I only have that texture on the top half of the card and not the bottom. It just makes it a little more interesting and also makes the DSP adhere easier. Next, I used some So Saffron and punched a strip using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and adhered it to the back of the DSP from Sweet Stitches set. Then I took the "buttons" stamp and inked it with Basic Black and stamped it on more of the same set of DSP and cut it out. (Tip: I layered the DSP on a piece of Whisper White before I cut it out to make it a little more sturdy since I was going to raise it with dimensionals.) I then stamped the dress form in Basic Black on a piece of Whisper White & on another piece of DSP. I cut them both out. I trimmed the bottom off the Whisper White base and stuck it directly on the pink DSP. I took the top of the dress form and tied a piece of Whisper White Taffeta ribbon around the waist and adhered it using dimensionals. The only thing missing is the greeting, so I stamped that in Basic Black on Whisper White and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch using the technique in the video. I added a Tempting Turquoise button and there you have it.
Great card and video!!
