These two cards have the same layout. One is faux metal and one is not. Can you tell which one? I sure hope so or I am wasting my time stamping. :-)
I'll show you the non faux one first since are probably fauxed out. This card has a chocolate chip base stamped with the En Francais background in VersaMark. The second layer is Old Olive. The DS paper is Windsor Knot. The flower is from Holiday Blitz. I attached it with a little gold eyelet. Then finished it off with some Chocolate Chip ribbon and a few dimensionals. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the rounded corners. Yes, I did round the corners as well with the corner rounder of all things.
This next one is the Christmas version. I used the Polka Dot background on it with some clear embossing powder. The second layer is Old Olive. The DS paper is from the Ski Slope set found in the Holiday Mini. I didn't do a little scallop punching on the edge of of it. On both of these cards I cut the DS the same size as the Old Olive and folded the DS paper down at the top rather than cutting a new strip of card stock. I finished it off with some red gingham ribbon.
These are gorgeous!!! I don't have the new punch from SU, but I'm going to try your faux metal technique right now. Happy World Cardmaking Day! Thanks for the inspiration.
