*This technique is all about layers of color!
You must use a heavy watercolor paper and Stazon Ink for this technique. You will also want two shades of marker for each color.
1. Stamp image on watercolor paper. (Be sure it is well inked and used extra pressure because the paper is textured.)
2. Decide where your light source is coming from. (That will be the lightest side of your image.)
3. Begin coloring image with lightest colored marker. Cover most of the image but not in detail.
4. Blend with your aqua-painter or watercolor brush. (You do not want your brush very wet.) Let this absorb some.
5. With your darker shade of the same color, add very little color (you can always add more) in the areas that would be dark. (Opposite side of light source.)
6. Blend with your aqua-painter, drawing the color out. Do not over blend.
7. Continue with remaining parts of the image.
I do not have step by step pictures yet but below is 2 samples using the technique.
