Faux Suede
- Stampin’ Up! card stock works best for this technique due to
the thickness of the cardstock and the saturation of the color all the way
through.
- For the faux suede technique, you can cut out a piece of
cardstock, punch it out or use the Big Shot to die cut a piece of card
stock. (Sample uses Flower Layers
die.)
- Once you have your piece of card stock that you will be turning
into faux suede, begin to wrinkle it. You can make it into a ball and then flatten out and
wrinkle again until it become soft and pliable. You will notice that the edges will begin to separate
into two separate layers.
- Slowly pull these two layers apart. The inside is the “faux suede” portion. You can leave it plain or stamp on
it.

I love this technique. Thanks for sharing with us. I also like the pumkin made from oval shapes. Now I will have another use for my oval templates.
