This is a recent workshop card I did with a fabulous group of ladies a few weeks ago.. It uses a stamp set from the Summer Mini called Strength and Hope. The best part about the stamp set is that for everyone Stampin' Up! sells they are donating $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This lasts until the end of August so get yours soon.
On to the card. For the base, I used some Crumb Cake. On the right edge I layered some Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink that I ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Impression folder and then some Newsprint DSP. (Yes, it retired but you can now get the First Edition DSP in the new catalog for an easy replacement.) For the focal point, we Stamped our decorative scroll image in second generation ink of Crumb Cake at the bottom of a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Doing that image first allows us to know where to put the butterfly. The butterfly is stamp in Pretty in Pink on the same piece of Very Vanilla and then again on a scrap of very vanilla that we cut out. Once it is cut out, add some glue dots to the center of the body and adhere on top of the other butterfly. Some pearls down the middle just makes it oh so pretty. Our greeting was stamped in Early Espresso on top of the scroll image. Layer the vanilla piece on some Early Espresso stock for a nice mat. And for a little added texture we added some Early Espresso striped ribbon. Then put the whole focal point down using dimensionals. It's a simple card, but so elegant and delicate at the same time.

This is gorgeous!! Are those strips the same width? I am going to attempt to case this! :)

Amanda, those strips are all the same size. I'm not at home to check, but I'm thinking they are either 1/2" or 3/4".
