Happy 4th of July everyone! Although this is not a patriotic card, I still thought the colors were appropriate. We made this card at a recent workshop. The base is Cherry Cobbler and has been sponged with Soft Suede Ink. The DSP is called Nautical Expeditions and you can find it in the Summer Mini Catalog. We sanded it and sponged it as well. Next, we used the Open Sea stamp set and first stamped the "log book page" background on some Confetti White stock using some Sahara Sand ink. Next came the ship in Not Quite Navy. Then we added the greeting from Word Play in Cherry Cobbler. Next we ran it through the Big Shot using the Lattice Impression Folder. We then distressed it and sponged it for a little more worn look. For the needed embellishment, we used the postage punch and punched out a piece of Early Espresso that we had stamped with the compass from the stamp set. We then folded it over and adhered it to the focal point using a jumbo pewter brad (I'm so sad these are no longer available). We finished it off with some Cherry Cobbler Twine that you can find in the Summer Mini and in the new Idea Book & Catalog. Add some dimensionals to the back of the focal point and add it on then you have a pretty simple card. I hope you all agree.

Beautiful card! Great way to use that sentiment stamp!
