Aviary Case

There are some beautiful cards in the new catalog that I think are worthy of being "case"d. This is one that is on page 167. It is another class card. Although I love the card, I must admit that I have a hard time not tweaking some cards slightly. I began with a Rose Red background that I ran through the Big Shot adding some texture with the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder. I then stamped my bird cage from Aviary in Early Espresso and the bird is Rose Red. I then stamped the greeting in Early Espresso as well. Notice that the corners are rounded on the right side only. I like that little detail. I then used a strip of Early Espresso that I used the scallop border punch on and wrapped a piece of Certainly Celery 1/8" taffeta ribbon around. I adhered this to the Whisper White layer. This whole piece is mounted on the card base using dimensionals. For a little texture and dimension, I added a little flower punch from Boho Blossoms that I added a little pearl to the center of.
