Hip-hippo-ray!

As we continue the Pun Fun parade for a couple of more days this week, I thought I would begin the week with my favorite little guy in the set, the hippo. Do you know what else is funny? I always call him a guy, but I always color him like he's a girl because I love to color his toenails, usually pink. I don't know what it is. Oh well, guy or gal, it sure is one cute hippo. And for this one, I began by stamping my hippo with Black Stazon on watercolor paper and then colored using blender pen and Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink and Pear Pizzaz along with some Blush Blossom around his body to make him pop a little more. For a little bit more pizzaz, I added some dazzling diamonds to the balloon, bow tie and toenails. I also punched the edge with the spiral punch. For the card base, I began with Basic Gray and added some Pear Pizzaz DSP to the bottom edge. To pull out the pink a little more, I added two piece of Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon around and knotted. The greeting was stamped in Black Stazon as well. I then mounted the focal point using dimensionals. That's it. Pretty simple actually. I'll see you tomorrow for another Pun Fun card? Can you guess which one we haven't done yet?
