Fun to Stamp

Hello Baby

Here is a sneak peek as I promised.  This cute little stamp set is called Animal Stories. And see that cute paper that coordinates with it so nicely, that is called Tall Tales.  You will be seeing more of that around here.  It has some very cute designs in it.  This is a very simple layout.  I textured the polka dots on the base with my big shot.  I then added the DS paper to the bottom.  I tied some Old Olive grosgrain around it.  I stamped my greeting "hello baby" which is from a new set called Teeny Tiny Wishes (love it!) and then punched it out with the word window punch, added some hemp and tied it to the ribbon.  I stamped the giraffe in So Saffron and added just a touch of More Mustard around the edges with a marker.  Then cut him out and applied him with dimensionals. What do you think?  I think he's super cute!

Riding Hood Red Daisy

All good things must come to an end.  In this case, it is the InColors for 2008/2009.  As an ode to Riding Hood Red, I wanted to share this quick and cute card.  It's also an ode to the Rockabilly DS paper as it contains Riding Hood Red.  I'm gonna miss this paper.  Our relationship was short lived but I loved it.  The card base is Whisper White with texturz polka dots.  The flower is made by using the Daisy Die for the Big Shot.  There are two medium size flowers and one small flower layered together here.  *Tip: I punched a circle of Riding Hood Red to put behind the assembled flower to adhere the jumbo white brad.  The Stem is Kiwi paper from the Rockabilly collection.  The ribbon is the striped Kiwi Kiss.  I think I will miss Kiwi Kiss the most.  :-(  The stitching is done with a marker.  The greeting is from the Really Retro set.  I hope you like it.  I think it is super cuteness.  Check back tomorrow for a sneak peak from the new catalog that begins in two short days!

Last Oval All

Did you think it would ever end?  I coupled the Walk in the Park DS paper with Kraft, Chocolate Chip and some Baja Breeze felt flowers.  Sadly those are leaving us as well.  Notice that I only used the center of the oval stamp. I did this by using a Chocolate Chip marker. I finished this off with a Chocolate Chip brad and a Latte button tied with some Kraft taffeta ribbon.  I have a little good new for you.  If you didn't order the Oval All stamp set, it is going to be in the new Idea Book & Catalog.  Yeah!

How about some paper weaving?  I will put the directions on how to do this in the tutorial section to the left.  More Walk in the Park DS paper.  I also used an texturz plate for the background to give it some more "texture."  Get it? Sorry.  This one was also colored with a markers for the focal point.  The scallop punch is Baja Breeze and the ribbon is the Whisper White Organza.  Lots of dimensionals on this one as well.

Another Oval Sample for you today. More Walk In The Park DS paper on this card as well.  I used markers to ink up the focal images.  I also added the white dots on each of the scallops of the punch.  Just a few short days left to get this stamp set and paper.  Enjoy!

Oval All Times 2

I hope you all had a great weekend.  I want to apologize for the quality of this photo.  I didn't realize it was so blurry.  It's hard to tell, but the base of the card is textured with small dots.  The DS is Parisian Breeze, I love this paper and I'm going to miss this beautiful paper.  For the focal point, I stamped the main image twice on watercolor paper.  I used my aqua painter and colored one flower and cut it out.  It is raised with a dimensional and has just a small amount of glitter in the center.  I then colored the bottom layer of the focal piece and layered the whole thing on kraft card stock.  It is raised with some dimensionals over the chocolate chip ribbon.  That's it!

12 Today!

This guy is turning 12 today, but he will always be my baby.  This post is for all of those close friends and family members.  We are celebrating Aaron's 12th birthday today.  He is having a few close friends over for a fun day of air soft battles, pizza and by special request, pecan pie instead of a cake.  He's such his father's reflection. (They both love pecan pie.)  I love this guy!  He melts my heart.  He has the most gentle, compassionate, caring and loving spirit.  And to top off those great qualities, he is one of the funniest people I know.  Happy Birthday Aaron!

Finally Back?

I know, can you believe it?  I'm sorry to have been gone for so long but I am thankful that so many of you have hung around.  I have some fun Oval All cards to share with you that I finally got around to photographing.  So let's get started.  I'm sure you have seen the new oval scallop punch.  Don't you just love it?  It matches the large oval punch.  It is partnered here with Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper.  The colors here are Basic Gray, Whisper White and Baja Breeze.  Don't forget that the Baja Breeze is retiring in just a couple of short weeks.  I also used some of the beautiful Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  It's so yummy.  The rectangular image is raised with dimensionals and so is the scalloped oval piece.  I hope you enjoy!  I'll see you soon with another Oval sample.
