How about a cute little flower this time? This card incorporates one of the flower from the Good Friend set. I also added a button to jazz it up a bit. The ribbon is Old Olive grosgrain and goes from the back layer of the focal point to the front and ties in a knot. The paper is the Good Morning Sunshine paper. I stamped the "friend" in white craft ink. I also added the DS paper at the bottom after using the scallop punch on it. I can't wait to get the new scallop punch.

Another Bird
I thought I would show you one more Good Friend bird before I move on to something else. I must like him in Summer Sun since I keeping showing him to you that way. I do have him in other colors. I will work on uploading those for you soon. This is more Good Morning Sunshine DS paper. Are those pears just darling or what? This card is similar in layout to the first one I showed you with the exception of it being a square card and I used the circle die this time. I did add a little extra detail to the circle by using my 1/16" punch around the edge. The greeting is from the Chit Chat Rub-ons. Speaking of Rub-Ons, have you seen the new ones. I have the Bright Delights and Fashion District ones on their way so I can play some more. The colors used were: Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip textured card stock. Then also some Chocolate Chip ribbon.

Good Friend Again
As promised, here is another Good Friend card. This one uses the greeting and not the bird. I'll have another one of those for you tomorrow. But did you notice the bird on the paper? Aren't they the cutest? That is called Good Morning Sunshine. I used the Big Shot Top Note Big Z die to cut out the bird paper. I stamped the greeting (focal point) in Basic Brown and colored it in with Pacific Point ink. I then added some glue and dazzling diamonds glitter. Notice how it looks like I used matching glitter. One way to achieve this is to make sure you color in your image completely and boldly. I just love dazzling diamonds. I also added a little Flower Fusion flower and rhinestone brad for a little more bling. And raised the entire piece up with dimensionals.

Good Friend
Does time ever just get away from you? That has been the last week or so for me. But, I'm back with some cards for you. Have you seen the new 2009 Spring/Summer Idea Book? If not, you are going to love it. I can't believe how many new and exciting things there are. There are some incredibly cute new stamp sets and some unbelievable new accessories. I'm going to be so broke. Back to cute stamp sets. Below is a sample using a new stamp set called Good Friend. I made some samples for the recent Leadership Conference. This is one of those. I'll be sharing some of those samples with you for the next few days. Is this not the cutest bird? I used the Top Note die with some Good Morning Sunshine DS paper. It's had to tell but this is textured card stock. Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Summer Sun were my colors. I added some old olive ribbon. The greeting is just the friend portion of the "Good Friend" greeting that comes in the set. I cut it out with the word window punch and shorted it to the right length. I tied it on with some string. Hope you find him as cute as I do.
Note: I don't know why my photos are coming out so "frosty" looking. I'm working on figuring that out.

The never ending card...
Have you ever had one of those cards that you started out with one idea in mind and it kept frustrating you so you would put it down and come back to it and by the time you finished it, it was nothing like your original idea? This was one of those cards for me. It's not necessarily my favorite card with, but I think it was the frustration more than anything. I don't dislike it as much today and it I did when I first finished it.
The base is Riding Hood Red with heart down the left hand side using VersaMark. The DS paper is also Riding Hood Red. I had the card this far for awhile and had a hard time deciding on the focal point until I finally with with the date in the middle. I thought this might work for a masculine Valentine card.

Favorite A Happy Heart
This is my favorite A Happy Heart card so far. Click on it to enlarge for a better view. I'm not sure why but all of the colors on the front page seem to be muted on my cards lately. I dry embossed a square in the upper portion of the card (thanks to Kristina's motivation). I then covered the square and stamped the Polka Dot background with VeraMark. The heart is stamped on Riding Hood Red with VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut the heart out and mounted it on chocolate chip with dimensionals and cut the chocolate chip out creating a frame. The whole heart is layer with dimensionals and placed in the center of the dry embossed square. I stamped the greeting and added it along with the Baja Breeze ribbon using glue dots. Then I finished it off with Chocolate Chip ribbon. What do you think?

3 X 4 3/4 Card
Have you ever made a card that was 3" x 4 3/4"? I hadn't until this one. It started off as a 6" x 6" card and I ended up reducing it to balance it out but I really like how it turned out. The base is Kraft with a layer of Riding Hood Red DS paper on top of that. I stamped the dandelion in Riding Hood Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I then layered it on a piece of Chocolate Chip that is 1/8" bigger and raised that piece with dimensionals before putting it on the DS paper. I tied some Chocolate Chip Grosgrain around it and knotted through the top layer. I finished it off with a little dazzling diamonds glitter. Enjoy!

Always Valentine
The rest of the week I thought I would feature some Valentine cards. I'll begin with this Always heart using the Sweet Always DS paper. Did you know they matched each other? That is one of my favorite things about Stampin' Up! I stamped the heart image on a piece of Regal Rose card stock with VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder and cut it out. I then filled in some areas with my white gel pen, including the center of the flower brad. I used the scallop punch on the Regal Rose layer behind the striped paper. The greeting is stamped with Whisper White ink.

Sweet Stems Note of Thanks
Happy Wednesday to you. I thought this was a appropriate time of the year to put up a Thank You card. This one is super simple and kind of fun to do but at the same time, I love the simple elegance of it. I hope you agree. I used the Sweet Stems and Thank You Kindly stamp set. The card base is Very Vanilla with a Chocolate Chip Background. I stamped and embossed three different floral images on Mellow Moss, Kraft & Chocolate Chip and then punched them out with the curly label punch. I added them to the card using dimensionals. I started with the outside pieces and then added the middle. Just a little hint: do not press them down completely until yo uare happy with their placement so you can adjust them if you need to. I added the greeting in Chocolate Chip and finished it off with some Mellow Moss Gingham ribbon.
