I wanted to show you all how I made my punch ring. I recently made one of these and I think I am going to get a lot of use out of it so I thought I would share it with all of you as well. I'm not sure who came up with this idea but "great job!" on whoever it was.
What is a punch ring you say? It is designed for you to use when you aren't sure which size punch to use or if your image will fit inside of the punch. I made mine out of cardstock vellum so that I could see thru them. This comes in handy when I'm not sure which size my image will work the best on. For example, if I have an image that I want to use with a circle punch and I'm not sure which size will work best, I can just lay the punched out vellum over the image either on top of the block or in the catalog since they are actual size.
This first picture is of my cardstock sample ring. I used it to model the punch ring after. I would recomend you have one of these as well, if you do not have one already.
These two pictures just show how I did my cutting. Each sheet is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".
Once all of your rectangles are cut out you will want to punch a hole in the top corner. I used my crop-a-dile for this and it worked great. I was able to punch all of them at the same time. If you have a cardstock ring, you can use it as your guide for the whole.
The only thing lacking is the punches. I put like punches together as you see above. It will make it easier to find which one you are looking for.
There you have it. Put a ring through it and you're done. I hope this comes in handy.

What a FABULOUS idea! Hmmm...makes me want to go out to buy more punches! hehe :)

I've had a cardstock colour ring for years, but never thought of doing it for punches ... will have to try that. TFS, Amy.
